Drk (Live) 03:17

This EP contains 7 remixes of tracks taken from Systems critically acclaimed 2010 album "B".

Mastered by Antony Ryan of ISAN, the EP kicks off with a live version of the track "Drk" from System themselves.

Next ISAN (UK/Morr Music) get bleepin' innovative on their remix of "Drk" while Boxcutter (UK/Planet Mu) adds 2-step and guitars to the same. Watch out for the surprising change half way through,

Rumpistol (DK/Rump) puts the swing into "Alpha" while Aslope (DK/Hobby Industries) surprises with his techy remix of the same.

Copia Doble Systema (DK/Urban World) slow down "Stanley" way good and invent a new genre: clicks'n'cumbia, before Maffi (DK/Jahtari) finishes off in a skanking 80's dancehall style.

"System are apparently Denmark’s longest running electronic super-group, and still consist of glitch pioneer Thomas Knak (aka Opiate), Anders Remmer (aka Dub Tractor) and Jesper Skaaning (aka Acustic). The band have been operating for close to twenty years now, and their recent excursions into bass music have produced some of their most involving compositions to date. Here the trio’s recent album ‘B’ is celebrated by a gaggle of friends and collaborators who turn in reworks aplenty, reframing System’s sound in a variety of ways. The clear highlight comes from Morr stalwarts ISAN who manage to retain the bass-heavy funkiness of the original while giving it an air of early electronic whimsy that is their calling card. Other standouts come from Planet Mu’s Boxcutter, who reframes ‘DRK’ as a nasty slice of ass-shaking 2-step with a slippery ease and Copenhagen badman Aslope who re-moulds ‘Alpha’ into a post 2am narcotic house burner sure to appeal to fans of New World Aquarium. Recommended." - Boomkat
